Maria Kumagai was born in Londrina, Paraná, and moved to Japan at the age of eight, where she was raised. She grew up watching her mother, a tattooed woman, a sight that always made her eyes sparkle. 

Nowadays, she tattoos in a cute and colorful style, with a special love for depicting plants and animals. For Maria, both tattooing and drawing bring her immense joy—they allow her, even if just for a brief moment, to empty her mind and forget all her problems.
