@rokie_tattooBorn in Nagasaki, Japan in 1987, I moved to the United States at the age of two and grew up surrounded by tattoo culture. Unlike the negative perception of tattoos in Japan, I have always seen them as a natural form of self-expression and art.
My journey into the tattoo world began while working as a receptionist at a tattoo shop. There, I met Fred (who dislikes being called a “mentor”), whose guidance inspired me to pursue tattooing. Through him, I connected with Yoshi, the owner of Sacred Cartel, and became one of the opening members of Sacred Cartel Okinawa.
Since then, I have dedicated myself fully to tattooing, drawing inspiration comes from both my Japanese roots and my American upbringing, with a focus on Japanese traditional and American traditional styles.
